Aspire Robotics offers free tech/science social and vocational groups for kids and teens with autism in Rockwall, Texas. All groups will be facilitated by Dr. Nicole Caldwell, an autism specialist and math/science tutor.
Please note that all in-person groups are on hold during the current Covid-19 situation. We're now also offering online classes, so please check those out in the meantime!
Kids Robotics and Tech Group:
A small friendship group for kids with autism ages 7 to 12 centered around a common interest in technology. Kids can work on projects relating to coding, robotics, circuits, etc. individually or with others. We're currently looking for a meeting space in Rockwall, Texas to begin an after school group in the fall!
Teen Pre-Vocational Tech Group:
A group for teenagers with autism to work on projects in coding, robotics, 3D modeling, photo editing, etc. The group's focus is on developing vocational technology skills, workplace/teamwork related social skills, and connecting with a group of friends with common interests. We're currently looking for a meeting space in Rockwall, Texas to start the group.
Young Adult Vocational Skills Group
A group for young adults with autism (approx. ages 18 to 25) to work on projects in coding, robotics, 3D modeling, photo editing, etc. The group's focus is on developing vocational technology skills, workplace/teamwork related social skills, and connecting with a group of friends with common interests. We're currently looking for a meeting space in Rockwall, Texas to start the group.
Online Classes
Dr. Caldwell is working on developing some online technology classes that also teach study skills and executive functions skills. These classes will cover topics such as coding, video game design, and 3D modeling. You'll find all the information here.
